In the 23rd Psalm, king David writes, “He leads me beside quiet waters. He quiets my soul”. Jesus often called “time out” to spend quiet time in solitude, in prayer and in conversation with His Father. During these times, He let all the woes of life empty out so God could fill Him up, renewing and restoring Him with peace that “passes all understanding”. This exercise is available to us, too-all day-every day-when we allow Him to lead us to quiet waters where He will restore our souls .
